He was predeceased by: his parents, Wheeler Chestnut and Maude Chestnut (Robinson); his brother Robert Chestnut, Sr.; and his nephew Ronnie Chestnut. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Robertson Chestnut; his daughters, Kimberly Key (Eric Blevins) and Erica Blevins; his grandchildren, Novah Grace Holmes of Linton and Kristina Chestnut Wingo (David) of Hilton Head, SC.; his nephews, Robert Chestnut (Janice), Randy and Ricky Chestnut; and his niece Michelle Chestnut Mott.
