He is survived by: his wife Ellen Ramer Stern; his daughters, Emily Stern and Gretchen Rauer (Michael); and his grandchildren, Zoe, Sam Berensztein, Mia and Matthew Rauer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in his memory to the charity of your choice.
