She was predeceased by: her parents, Laudios "Buck" Sparks and Clara Lucille Sparks (Starnes); her husband Rex Dean Deckard; her siblings, Patricia Stull, Bernadene Koons and Ronald Sparks; her brothers-in-law, Tom Stull, Wendell "Sonny" Koons, William Elkins and Jack Clark; and her nephew Tony Stull.
She is survived by: her children, Bethany Murray (Jim), Rev. Rex Deckard, Jr. (Brenda), Cameron Deckard (Melanie) and Rebekah J. Deckard; her grandchildren, Casey Crouch, Isaac Crouch, Christopher Murray (Tiffany), Scott Murray, A. Bruce, Murray, Emilie Hussey (Nathan), Rex Adam Deckard (Shyanne), Abigail Deckard, Amelia Deckard and Isabelle Deckard; her great grandchildren, Marlee Deckard, Madelyn Deckard, Zaedyn Hussey, London Hussey, Navi Hussey, Charlotte Hussey, Zella Murray, Ava Worley, Ronin Loudenbarger and Kalijah Boys; and her sisters, Kay Elkins and Sharon Clark. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Stanford Baptist Church (8918 W Hinds Rd, Bloomington, IN 47403). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Marilyn's memory to the Stanford Baptist Church.
