He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Dougherty and Lucy Aleskivitch; his stepfather John Aleskivitch; and his grandson Jacob Auberry. He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn Dougherty; his daughter Kara Mullis (Trevor); his stepchildren, Jeff McEvilly (Lori), Shelly McEvilly (Lonnie Burns), Sherry Auberry (John), Kelly McEvilly (Diane), Kerry McEvilly, Dana Miles (Rodney), Anngie Wyatt (Scott) and Kim Madison (Ty); his siblings, Kevin Dougherty (Christine), Darren Dougherty (Kelly), Michael Dougherty (Bobby Katis) and Sandy Farley (Jim); his stepsiblings, Janet Burks (John) and Morey Barnes (Gayle); and his stepmother Marilyn Dougherty. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
