With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marta Diane Steele (Bloomington, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Donald Lee Shipley; and her brother Eric Grant Shipley. She is survived by: her mother Charlotte Diane Shipley (Decker); her husband Carl S. Steele; her daughters, Carrie Diane Marchant, Nicole Leanne (Marchant) and Merlo (Greg); the father of her children Gregory Marchant; her former husband Damian Dittmer; her grandchildren, Cathryn Mackenzie Marchant, Elisabeth Kelly Donahue, Lydia Marie, Christopher Gabriel, Charlotte Anne-Marie and Anthony Michael Merlo; and her sister Kimberly Jane Evans (Shipley).
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Monroe County.
