She was predeceased by: her birth parents, Clarence Rothwell and Mary Ann Rodgers; her adoptive parents, Arthur Nault and Jenny Nault; her stepmother Elaine Rothwell; and her godson Thomas Parkkonen.
She is survived by: her husband David Jalkanen; her sister Margaret Parkkonen (Steven); her stepsister Tammy Brininstool (Mike); her children, Michelle Marie Reno (Ray), Scott Jalkanen and John Jalkanen (Emily); her grandchildren, Lauren Reno, Patrick Brewster (Andraya), Emma Jalkanen, Dominic Jalkanen and Nora Jalkanen; her great grandchild Jakoby Brewster; and her godchildren, Gail Parkkonen and Brian Parkkonen (Becky). She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cross of Christ paper pantry ministry at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 1450 E Mitchell St, Petoskey Michigan.
