Mary E. Polk Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary E. Polk of Bloomington, Indiana, who passed away on January 22, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Bond and Bessie Bond (Ashby); her husband Chauncey Julian Polk; her daughter Abby VanDemark; her siblings, Roberta Ellen Perkins, Eloise Ruth Lee, Helen Jean South (Bond), Frederick Maurice Bond and William H. Bond; her nephews, Richard Lee South and Jay Lee; and her niece Ramona Jeanne South Markel.
She is survived by: her son-in-law H. Douglas VanDemark, Jr.; her grandchildren, Kristin Polk May (VanDemark) and Doug VanDemark, III; her great grandchildren, Jennifer May Waite, Joseph May, Tom VanDemark, Eric VanDemark and Eli VanDemark; her nieces and nephews, Janet Bond Dunkel, Paulette Brink, Mary Elaine South, Fred South, Ted South, Joel Perkins, Therese Perkins Bordenkircher, David Perkins, Jeff Bond and Tracy Bond Bowers; her great great grandchildren, Brayden, Aiden, Bentley, Camden, Jeremiah, Jacob, Charlie, Laura and Taylor; and her niece Mary Perkins Russell.
