Nellie Mae Werk Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Mae Werk of Bloomington, Indiana, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Ray and Maudie Long (Carnes); her husband James Eugene Werk; and her children, Danny Eugene Jeffers and Sharon Kay Jeffers.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Sue Weinzetl (Mike Edgeworth) and James Daniel Werk (Linda); and her friends, David, Tammy Brannon, Valda Hillary and Carolyn Comingore. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Valhalla Memory Gardens (310 N Johnson Ave, Bloomington, IN 47401).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nellie's honor to the Shriner's Children Hospital; St. Jude's Children Hospital; or Free Masons Lodge #22.
