It is with sadness that the passing of Patricia Joann Barnhart of Bloomington, Indiana is shared. Patricia, born on December 4, 1936 in Gary, Indiana, passed away on October 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Reaper and Hazel Reaper; her former husband Ronald M. Chester; her husband Frank A. Barnhart; and her stepdaughter Carol Cross.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Chester (Sherry) of Indianapolis, Kandee Proctor of Bloomington, Jon Chester of Corning and Mark Chester (Karla) of Trafalgar; her stepchildren, David Barnhart (Linda) of Middletown and Julie Abel (Tony) of Elwood; her grandchildren, Amy Chester Estes of Fort Walton, Abby Chester of Rockville and Jonah Chester of Charleston; and her great grandchildren, Cole and Emma Estes. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home (4150 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
