He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Pennington and Anna Mae Pennington (Vaught); his former wife Hattie Hampton; and his wife Vandetta "Van" Pennington. He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Pennington-Robertson, Patti (Collins) and Powell (Roger Powell); his grandchildren, Troy Lindsey, Candice Mireless and Joe Lindsey; his great grandchildren, Hayden Lindsey, Cameron Lindsey, Drevin Mireless and Kameron Lindsey; and his close friends, Jerold and Virginia Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
