With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Charles of Bloomington, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his sister Susan DeVegter; and his parents, Fred Charles (Ann Aikens Charles) and Ann Charles. He is survived by: his wife Laura Charles (Hagel); his daughter Courtney Lowrance (Kevin); his grandson Palmer Lowrance; his siblings, Fred "Ted" Charles, Steven Charles (Carolyn), Cynthia Peaslee and Amy Pratt (Joe); and his brother-in-law Bill DeVegter.
