He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mildred Shupp and Clark Cornell. He is survived by: his wife Janet Cornell; his daughter Amy (Geoff McKim); his grandchildren, Grayson and Tessa; and his sister Anne Stang (Penn) of Meshoppen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
