He was predeceased by: his daughter Marie Annette Shiflet; and his brothers, Donald, Harold Jr., Jack and Paul.

He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Ann, Barbara Butcher (Shiflet) and Lois Stephens (Shiflet); his wife Nancy Shiflet (Dunbar); his grandsons, Daniel Meadows and Dustin Galyan; and his brother Bill Shiflet.
