He is survived by: his wife Ruth Aten (Shackelford); his sons, Russell Aten (Lisa) of Bloomington and Roy Aten of Bloomington; his sister Patricia Cummins of Illinois; his grandchildren, Nicole, Erik, Adriaen and Victoria; and his great grandchild Isaiah.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church (2700 E Rogers Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
