He was predeceased by: his father Norris Eugene Tate. He is survived by: his mother Edith Mae Tate (Yancey); his children, Kevin Norris Tate and Kelly Rene Tate of Bloomington; his close friend Elizabeth Ann Calvin (McClure) of Bloomington; his stepchildren, Carrie Roberts (Toby), Connie Jennings (Shane) and Rich Calvin (Korenia); and his sisters, Terri Lyford (Bob), Donna Jean Tate Ritchie and Sandy Bell (Doug). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-nine- great grandchildren.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Grace Center in Harrodsburg or the Monroe County Humane Society.
