He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Downey and Ethel Downey; his wife Peggy Ann Downey (Osborne); and his brothers, Bill and Mike.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Downey of Bloomington and Luke Downey (Diane) of Portland, Oregon; his granddaughter River Downey of Portland, Oregon; and his sisters, Alice, Jonelle, Elaine and Mary Jane.
