We announce the death of Stanley Hamilton in Bloomington, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Lee Hamilton and Martha Annis Broshears Hamilton of Terre Haute, IN.; his former wife Hilary Hollis Hamilton of Terre Haute, IN; and his son Andrew J. F. Hamilton, Sr. of Indianapolis, IN. He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Alison Broshears Hamilton of Portland, OR; and his daughter-in-law Karen Hamilton of Indianapolis, IN.. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and four nephews; and many beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Black & Beyond the Binary Collective (a nonprofit in Portland, OR) or Trinity Episcopal Church, Bloomington.
