He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Brooks and Carol Brooks; Eldon and Rita Covington. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Covington Brooks; his children, Casey Brooks and Sam Brooks; his grandsons, Javen and Jorian Long; and his sisters, Judy Newberg (Mike) of Greenfield, IN, Nancy Brooks and Susan McCammon (Nick) of Bloomington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Program Scholarships for Youth in care of Allen Funeral Home.
