She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene "Gene" Brown and Elizabeth Leslie Brown of Winchester, Indiana.. She is survived by: her former husband Daniel Ray Oakes; her child Shenandoah; her husband Fred J. Stewart of Winchester; her pets, Simon and Sugar; her siblings, Phillip Brown (Elsa) of Texas and Mary Beth Hasselbrinck (Wayne) of Los Angeles; and her children, Susan Lee Macke, Michael J. Oakes of Bloomington, IN and David Ray Oakes of Pierceton, IN.. She is also survived by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to make donations to the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control's Animal Shelter.
