He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank DeBruicker and Margaret "Peggy" DeBruicker (Stewart); and his brothers, Terry DeBruicker and F. Stewart DeBruicker. He is survived by: his wife Cheri DeBruicker of Bloomington; his children, Julia Valliant (Michael) of Bloomington, Paul DeBruicker of Portland, Michael DeBruicker (Emily) of Great Barrington and David DeBruicker (Colleen Sutton) of Bloomington; his grandsons, Elvin DeBruicker, Arlo DeBruicker, Miles DeBruicker, Grady DeBruicker and Xavier Valliant; and his siblings, Sara Pell (Steve) of Zionsville, Dan DeBruicker of Indianapolis and Greg DeBruicker of Indianapolis.
