He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Edgar Dummitt and Opal Dummitt (Wolfe); his siblings, Wesley Dummitt and Donna Dummitt-Austin; his wife Sharon Marie Dummitt (Wilbanks); his granddaughter Abigail Dummitt; and his stepgrandson Jeremiah Rios.
He is survived by: his children, Denise King (Andrew) of Bloomington, Indiana, Bradley Dummitt of Tacoma, Washington, Brian Dummitt of Bloomington, Indiana and Brett Dummitt (Tina) of Montpelier, Ohio; and his brothers, Rev. Alonzo Dummitt (Beverly) of Ontario and Rev. Wayne Dummitt (Lynn) of Radcliff, Kentucky. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
