He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Maddox Faris and Farrie "Sixie" Faris; his brother John Richard Faris; his children, Mike Faris and Penny Elliot; and his great grandchild Deven Watters.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; and his children, Gwen Staggs (Joe), Dawn Faris, Polly Tomlinson (Charlie), Pete Faris, Rick Faris (Lisa) and Marty Faris. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice or The American Heart Assocation.
