He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Avery and Gladys Avery; and his former wife Bertha Ann Avery (Bowlen). He is survived by: his daughters, Sue A Elkins (Dexter) and Kathy J East (Richard); and his stepchildren, Jeff D Taylor (Brandy), Chad D Taylor and Julie D Rigrish (Tim). He is also survived by grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sanders Pentecostal Church (6490 S Fairfax Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity.
