He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Geels and Marie Geels (Kelley); his son-in-law Walter Van Betuw; his grandson Bernard Geels; and his sister Mary Alice Reuille.
He is survived by: his wife Linda L. (Gilliom); his children, Stephen Geels (Nunzia) of Virginia Beach, VA and Catherine Van Betuw of Sun City, AZ; his siblings, Rose Ann Hinesley of Ossian and John Geels (Karen) of Ft. Wayne; his grandchildren, Sarah Van Betuw and Adam Van Betuw; and his great grandchildren, Sadee Lemanski, Kaylee Van Betuw, Sianna Mason, Kadell Mason and Braelyn Van Betuw.
