She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert A. Cline and Betty L. Cline (Grimsley); and her daughter Amy L. Higgins. She is survived by: her husband Tommy L. Higgins; her friends, Billy Kreigh (Beatty) and Claudia Gipson (Cotton); her daughter Joy R. Chen (Paul) of Fishers, Indiana; her granddaughter Cassie Chen of Fishers; her brothers, David Cline (Judy) of Deephaven, Minnesota and Bill Cline (Jane) of Fort Wayne; and her nieces and nephews, April Poulson (Jacey), Bethany Cline, Todd Higgins (Jane), Rodd Higgins and Joe Cline (Kaylin).

Memorials may be made in Carol's memory to Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1970 Scholarship Fund, Angel of Hope Park through the Wells County Foundation, or First United Methodist Church music department.
