She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie E. Smith and Nannie Smith (Hobbs); her spouse Siebert F. Meeks; and her siblings, J. L. Smith, Price Smith, Evelyn Winton, Margaret Hester and Delma Smith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Durham of Acworth, GA. and Sheila Kleinknight (Chris) of Bluffton. She is also survived by four grandchildren, five grt. grandchildren and 4 grt. grt. grandchildren.
