He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald E. King and Anna Louise King (Bennett); his son Scott D. Collier; and his siblings, James W. King, Fred King, Beck King, Dick King and Bob King.

He is survived by: his wife Rosie of Vera Cruz; his children, LaDonna L. King of Fort Wayne, Renea Baker (Mark) of Decatur, Annie Rochowiak (Michael) of Toledo, OH., Shane King (Stephanie) of Bluffton, Jason King (Jessica) of Bluffton, Tammy Schlagenhauf (Jerry) of Bluffton and Georgie Corle (Chris) of Bluffton; his siblings, Dian Grover (Jim) of Bluffton, Linda Crews of Amity, AK. and Kenny King (Emmy) of Liberty Center; his siblings-in-law, Sandy King of Bluffton, Robin King of Uniondale and Virgil Kahn; and his aunt LuLu Peeper. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
