He is survived by: his daughter Amy Yates of Bluffton; his brother Donald "Rowdy" Yates (Nancy) of Bluffton; his grandchildren, Erika Brooks of Warsaw, IN, Taylor Sheldon (David) of Dandridge, TN, Noah, Aubree and Asher Sheldon; and his nephews, Charles Yates and Dr. Brad Yates.
