He is survived by: his wife Melanie Jo Shady of Ossian; his children, Todd Shady of Bluffton and Marla Karas (Ben) of Grand Blanc, MI.; his grandchildren, Stephanie Shady (Adam Dennis) of New Haven, Leah Maschino (Ben) of Davison, MI., Nick Shady of Fort Wayne, Alex Karas (English) of Linden, MI. and Brian Karas of Grand Blanc, MI.; his great grandchildren, Leo, Oliver, Penelope, Maxwell Dennis, Chance, Cannon, Colter Karas, Elliana and Gavin Maschino; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Shady of Scottsdale, AZ., Debbie Church and Dan Church of Smithville, MO.; and his cousins, Becky Bouse of Fort Wayne and Neal Shady of Stryker. He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
