As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Matthew may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hammons and Betty Hammons (Spitler). He is survived by: his children, Tara Steffen (Roger) of Berne, Tawnya Lehman of Liberty Center, Todd Lehman (Leah) of Berne and Angie Schaden (Toby) of Bluffton; and his siblings, Judy Coe (Dave) of Arizonia, Larry Hammons of Fort Wayne, Dane Hammons of Columbia City and Tim Hammons of Columbia City. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice and directed to the funeral home.
