It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nola Kemplen of Bluffton, Indiana, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nola Kemplen to pay them a last tribute.
She is survived by: her husband Wendell Kemplen; her children, Michael Plumley (Amy) of Bluffton, IN, Angela Bumbalough (Lyle) of Bluffton, IN, Alan Plumley (Lisa) of Bluffton, IN and Rodney Plumley (Angela) of Portland, IN.; and her siblings, Boyd Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Herman Johnson, Geraldine Fields, Carolyn Book and Patsy Guffy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Freewill Baptist Church (1805 Salamonie Ave, Huntington, IN 46750). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Elm Grove Cemetery (103 Elm Grove Rd, Bluffton, IN 46714).
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to be given to either First Freewill Baptist Church, Huntington, IN, or Old Country Church, Hartford City, IN in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
