He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Smith and Viola Smith (LaMont). He is survived by: his wife Marcella "Sally" Gillig of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Rhonda Lepper (Dennis) of Ossian, Marcia Ilnicki (Fred) of Fishers, Kathy Macon (Dewayne) of Bluffton, Judy Smith (James) of Fort Wayne and Eric Smith (Heather) of Kansas City, KS; and his siblings, LaDonna Burke (Lee) of Fort Wayne and Jean Smith (E. J.) of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in memory of Ron may be directed for masses, to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
