He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Gerber and Julia Gerber (Maller); his wife Clara Baumgartner; and his siblings, Harry, Frederick Gerber, Devona Longenberger and Marie Kipfer.
He is survived by: his son Darryl Gerber (Jinny) of Bluffton; his grandsons, Aaron Gerber (Cassie), David Gerber (Alejandra) and Philip Gerber (Janean); and his great grandchildren, Corrie, Claire, Elliot, Emma, Oliver, Mayve, Emberton and Madden.
