With sadness, we share the passing of Derek Scott Claycomb of Boonville, Indiana. Derek, born on September 23, 1973 in Evansville, Indiana, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jerry, Dica Swango and Dorothy Claycomb; his uncle Donnie Claycomb; his cousins, Joe Chittenden and Jacob Claycomb; and his brother-in-law David Heavrin.
He is survived by: his children, Kenadee Gorman (Ian), Baylee Claycomb and Ivan Claycomb; his parents, Sheila Claycomb (Swango) and John Claycomb (Becky); his grandchildren, Karsen, Mavrick and MacKenzie; his sisters, Lindsey Claycomb and Stacia Heavrin; his niece Ashley Meredith (Jeremy); his great-nephews, Atticus and Whitaker; and his close friend Wendy Kincaide. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery (1800 St George Rd, Evansville, IN 47711).
