She was predeceased by : her parents, William Garrison and Lula Garrison (Boyd); her husband Donald E Byers; her son Kerry Byers; and her siblings, Dorothy Jenkins, Lloyd Garrison, Margaret Cotton, Thomas Garrison, Ruth Underhill and Jimmy Garrison.

She is survived by : her children, Steve Byers (Cynthia), Mike Byers (Tammy) and Angie Scales; her grandchildren, Brandi Bruce (Marvin), Michael Byers (Ashley), Matthew Byers, Steven Byers (Jordan), Jason Byers (Ashley) and Brandon Scales (Mikayla); her great grandchildren, Hunter, Madalynn Bruce, Kaylee, Steven Byers, Audrey, Riley Byers, Claire, Owen, Kellen, Griffin Byers, Alana and Alivia Scales; and her brother Charles "Bill" Garrison.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Koehler Funeral Home (304 E Main St, Boonville, IN 47601). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
