Gilbert left this world on September 26, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Alexander and Elsie Alexander (Powers); his wife Carol Maxine; and his siblings, Gerald R. Alexander and Velma A. Helms.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Alexander and Bobby Alexander (Deanna) of Boonville; his granddaughters, Amber Sala (Rob) of Boonville and Whitney Alexander (Graham) of Lafayette; and his great grandchildren, Karter, Nash Sala, Hayden, Naleigh and Gabriel Bird.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Koehler Funeral Home (304 E Main St, Boonville, IN 47601). A masonic service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Boonville Assembly #13 of the International Rainbow for Girls.
