He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Mellen and Grace Mellen (Tennyson); his siblings, Judy Byers and Ronnie Mellen; and his brothers-in-law, Shorty Oldham and Tim McMurtry.
He is survived by: his siblings, Martha Oldham, Kathy Miller (Joe), Linda McMurtry and Terry Mellen (Leslie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
