He was predeceased by: his parents, James Schlenker and Betty Schlenker; his son CJ Schlenker; his siblings, Jeff Schlenker and Carmen Schlenker; his grandchildren, Chelsey Noe and Jaxon Shaw; and his mother-in-law Rose Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Schlenker; his children, Carmen Truman (Damon), Jeremy Schlenker, Kodi Schlenker, Josh Schlenker, Nathan Vandiver and Joseph Vandiver; his grandchildren, Koal Truman, Sarah Mills (Aaron), Dylan Vandiver (Jessie), Ellie Shaw and Luke Shaw; and his great grandchildren, Harlow Mills, Maverick Mills, Ryker Mills, Keaton Vandiver, Grayson Vandiver and Charlie Vandiver.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
