He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Eckert and Loretta Jean Eckert (Blount); his wife Suzanne Blessinger; and his sister Joyce Smock Eckert. He is survived by: his children, Bronson Eckert (Tammy) of Evansville, Lee Eckert (Andrea) of Omaha, NE, Dillon Eckert of Branchville, Jordan Ameling of Peru, IN and Alyssa Fehribach of Jasper; and his brother Roger Eckert (Patti) of Bardstown, KY. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nass and Son Funeral Home (208 N Main St, Huntingburg, IN 47542). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Birdseye Cemetery (400 Elm St, Birdseye, IN 47513).
Memorial contributions may be made to ABATE or to the family for funeral expenses.
