He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyne Emerson and Hila Marie Reed (Piety). He is survived by: his wife Maryann Reed (Trout); his children, Dr. Alicia Reed, Thomas (Scot) and Dr. Alan Reed (Dianna Knox); his grandchildren, Logan Thomas and Lauren Horn (Rhys); his sister Linda Gonzalez (Cuitlahuac); and his sibling's children, Suzanne Stringham (Lee) and Curtis Wadsworth (Katie).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the French Funeral Home (421 E National Ave, Brazil, IN 47834). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
