She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Pell and Ferrie Pell (Weaver); her husband Don Hood; and her siblings, Virgie McDonald, Dean Pell, Doyne Pell, Si Pell, Norma Hood, Joy Hybarger, Jay Pell and Dale Pell.

She is survived by: her children, Doug Hood and Kelly Short (Sam); her grandchildren, Josh Short, Ryan Short (Bridgette) and Katie Vickery (Ike); her great grandchildren, Levon Vickery, Bristol Short and Bella Short; and her friend Jim Howard (Kathy Hood). She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
