We announce the death of Joseph Mark Dierdorf of Brazil, Indiana, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 72. Joseph will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark L. Dierdorf and Linda G. Dierdorf (Decker). He is survived by: his wife Diane Dierdorf (Erickson); his son Joseph Mark "Joey" Dierdorf II (Paige (Schurr) Dierdorf); his sisters, DeAndrea "Dee" Smiley (Doug) and Ann Long-Hine (Brian); and his nieces and nephews, Molly Tipton, Robert Smiley, Emily Litz, Madison Gilreath and Kade Hine.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lawson-Miller Chapel (1702 E National Ave, Brazil, IN 47834). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clay County 4-H Program.
