She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Gerber and Ruth Lucas Gerber; her husband James R. Cox, Sr.; her grandson Joshua Lee Casey; and her siblings, James Gerber, John Gerber, Harold Gerber, Ted Gerber, Virginia Church and Mary Elmore.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Lee Johnson (Gemma) of Galveston, TX, Sheila Ter Meer of Brazil and Pamela S. Johnson of Brazil; and her grandchildren, Amy Jo Fideli (Baycan), April Cahalan (Tim), Alyssa Day (Andy), Amber Kroner (Peter IV), Jason Evans (Jennifer), John B. "Deuce" Gerrard II (Kayla Frazier), Joel "Adam" Ter Meer II, Mabry Anna Ter Meer (Keanno Cook), May and Okulovich (Tyler). She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Croy's Creek Cemetery or Union Cemetery.
