He was predeceased by: his grandparents, C. Victor, Ellen Rudder, Chester and Estella Owens. He is survived by: his parents, Richard L. "Rich" Rudder of Columbus and Karen Bednarik (Kenneth) of The Villages, FL; and his brother Christopher L. Rudder of Columbus.

In lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.
