He is survived by: his wife Judy Harrison; his sons, Rick Burger (Karen) and Dave Burger (Pam); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Herrmann (Jeremy), Jessica Bertsch (Fritz), Jamie Faulk (Jeremiah), Jeremy Burger (Kali), Brenton Burger (Lexie) and Trevor Burger. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst Funeral Home (301 E 8th St, Clay City, IN 47841). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
