He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Stearley and Mary Stearley (McMichael); his wife Gloria "Gynelle" Stearley; his siblings, Gertrude Stevenson, Jennie Stearley and Clyde Stearley; his son-in-law Ned Wicker; and his stepgrandson David Maurer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Martha Ann Maurer (John) and Mary Margaret Wicker; his grandchildren, Marci Stephenson (Matt), Kristi Lickert (Brian), Emily Staley (Justin), Ashli Wicker, Alleni Wicker and Jayci Wicker; his great grandchildren, Paytynn, Blake, Bryce, Chayse, Carter, Brylee and Mackenzie; and his brother Wilbur Stearley (Sharon) of Brazil. He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Union Cemetery Association 8205 N CR 300 E Brazil, Indiana 47834.
