He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Short and Helen Short (Hoskins); and his brother Joseph A. Short. He is survived by: his wife Janna Green; his children, Kasey Buell (Scott) and Shaun Short; his grandchildren, Lainy Buell and Zac Buell; his aunt Frankie Hoskins; and his sister-in-law Pat Short. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
