He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Batchelor and Wanda Batchelor (Murphy); his brothers, Max Batchelor, Tommy Batchelor, Jack Batchelor and Ronnie Batchelor; and his brother-in-law Marty Purtell.

He is survived by: his children, Jon Batchelor, Julie Asbury (Brian), Josh Batchelor (Tiffany), Melissa "Missy" Hill (Robert Reedy) and Tiffany Glaspie (Ed); his grandchildren, Kirsten Weddle, Madelyn Batchelor, Lilly Batchelor, Jon Batchelor, Blake Wharton (Alana), Braeden Wharton (Kayla), Christa Asbury, Jordan Duncan (Nick), Peyton Asbury, Sophie Asbury, Laurynn Batchelor, Joshua Batchelor, Shae Batchelor, Vander Batchelor, Landon Hill, Grant Ferry, Ike Torbert, Daelynn Torbert and Hayden Glaspie; his great grandchildren, Finnan Wharton, Carter Schultz, Everlee Asbury, Kyrie Lundy, Addison Ferry, Lucas Duncan and Elliott Duncan; and his siblings, Mike Batchelor, Tim Batchelor, Earl Batchelor (Bev) and Etta Mae Purtell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
