Eugene leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Eugene’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Eugene will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his mother Albeana Helmick; and his uncle Hank. He is survived by: his wife Harriet "Sally" Butler; his children, Susan Coddens (Doug) of Bremen and Gene Janezich of Bremen; and his half-siblings, Paul Klancer and Kay Plautz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (803 W Bike St, Bremen, IN 46506). A Mass will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Bremen Cemetery (100 E 2nd St, Bremen, IN 46506).
