He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Mikel and Mable Mikel (Culp); and his siblings, Marietta Franklin, Caroll Gall (June) and Roger Mikel.
He is survived by: his children, Mark A. Mikel of Champaign, IL, Matthew L. Mikel (Janet) of Bremen and Marla Gilbert (Joe) of Slidell Louisiana; his siblings, Eleanor Strang (Nappanee) and Dale Mikel (Bremen); Ryan Johanson (Amy) of Kirkland, IN, Samantha Perez Fort (Lance), Alex Mikel (Jessica) of Bremen, Daniel Mikel (Ana) of Berkeley, CA, Rebecca Kolpak (Justin) of Chicago, Conner Smith (Jayson) of Chicago and Mason Gilbert of Nashville. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Bremen United Methodist Church, 302 Plymouth St, Bremen, IN 46506.
